How do I send a Birthday Campaign?

Celebrate your sphere and past clients on their special day with Agent Legend's Birthday Campaign. Once your contacts' birthdates are imported, Agent Legend will automatically schedule each birthday message to send on the appropriate date.

Step 1: Add the Birthday Campaign

Click the Birthday Campaign Template to add a copy to your Agent Legend account.

Once the campaign has been added, you'll find it in your Campaigns list, ready to customize.

Step 2: Customize the Campaign

Open your Birthday Campaign and make any changes you'd like before importing your contacts. You can customize the email, text message, voicemail, or add additional follow-up steps as needed.

You can also include a Handwritten Letter. If you do, Agent Legend will automatically schedule it to mail in advance, helping ensure it arrives on or around your contact's birthday.

When you're finished customizing the campaign, be sure to turn it ON.

Step 3: Export Your Contacts

From your CRM, export the contacts you'd like to include in the campaign.

Before exporting, filter your list to include only contacts that have a recorded birthday.

Your CSV should include:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Phone Number
  • Birthdate
  • Mailing Address (if deploying letters)

Step 4: Upload Your Contacts

  1. Open your Birthday Campaign.
  2. Select Add Contacts
  3. Choose your CSV file.
  4. Review the field mapping and confirm the fields are mapped correctly.

Agent Legend will try to map these fields automatically, simply verify they are correct before completing the import.

That's It!

After your contacts are imported, Agent Legend automatically schedules the Day 1 message to send on each contact's recorded birthday. No additional scheduling is required, each contact will receive their birthday message on their own birthday.

Follow Up Boss Users

If you're a Follow Up Boss user, as long as those contacts already exist in your Follow Up Boss account, Agent Legend will automatically match them using their contact information.

This means your birthday campaign activity—including texts, emails, and other communications—will continue to post back to the appropriate Follow Up Boss contact record just as if the contact had entered Agent Legend through the direct integration.

Best Practices

  • Verify that your CRM contains accurate birthdates before exporting.
  • Include both a phone number and an email address whenever possible for the best campaign performance.
  • Review your campaign before importing contacts to ensure your messaging is ready to send.
  • Make sure your account has letter credits available if deploying these within your campaign.
