SMS Opt-in Guide: Web Forms
Follow these steps to make sure your opt-in forms are compliant with phone carrier requirements.
By following these steps, you'll make sure that your opt-in / landing page is compliant with the phone carriers A2P 10DLC requirements.
- Compliance Language: a statement that is visible to end-users must be clear and inform them of the SMS campaign.
- Check Box: A checkbox next to the opt-in statement to affirm express consent is required.
- Terms of Service: provide a direct link to your terms of service. We've experienced the highest approvals when the link is placed in the compliance section.
- Privacy Policy: provide a direct link to your privacy policy. Note: your privacy policy must include a statement of non-sharing for mobile numbers, message frequency, and "message and data rates may apply" disclosure.
- Website Footer: Make sure your Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are also plainly visible in your website footer.
- Layout: All the necessary disclosures and agreements related to SMS consent should be presented on the same page where users enter their information. This helps users understand what they're agreeing to and aids in overall compliance.
